ABOUT RITA SANSANA
I serve as the Director of AICEP (Portuguese Trade and Investment Agency) in Singapore, where I work to deepen economic ties between Portugal and Southeast Asia. My mission is to attract foreign direct investment to Portugal, support Portuguese companies in their internationalization journeys, and foster long-term institutional and business partnerships. Throughout my career, I’ve engaged with governments, multinational companies, investment funds, and academic institutions to position Portugal as a forward-looking, competitive, and trustworthy partner. I believe that economic diplomacy is as much about strategic alignment as it is about genuine human connection, and I strive to bridge both worlds every day.
