About Rita Reicher
Rita is President of the Board of FOCUS Greater Syracuse, Inc. Between 2020 and 2025, she also served as Interim Executive Director. FOCUS is a non-profit organization with a mission to facilitate and encourage citizen engagement to make Central New York a better place to live. Rita has also served as Chapter Chair of Syracuse Chapter I of the Women Presidents\' Organization (WPO), facilitating discussions and supporting women business executives achieve their business objectives. She has served on several nonprofit Boards including the Upstate Foundation, the Syracuse Chapter of the American Red Cross, the Syracuse Chapter of the American Heart Association and the CNY Community Foundation.Rita is retired President and Chair of KS & R, a global market research and consulting firm headquartered in Syracuse, New York. Rita was a Founding Principal of KS & R and served in a leadership position in the company since its founding in 1983. In 2014, the KS & R Board of Directors approved Rita to be its Chair. In addition to her executive responsibilities as President, she was directly involved in many of KS & R’s research efforts requiring advanced research methods. Prior to founding KS & R, Rita served as a Research Fellow with the Syracuse Research Corporation. She is a graduate of William Smith College and holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Yale University.
