ABOUT RITA SHARMA
I am Rita Sharma, a Design Consultant, Fashion & Art Curator, and Graphic Designer. With over 30 years of rich and diverse experience in the fashion and garment industry—much of which involved working with international clients—I have developed a comprehensive understanding of the industry and a dynamic vision for gauging and capturing its ever-evolving trends, fashions, and preferences. A significant portion of my 30-year journey was spent at Pearl Global Industries Ltd, a leading apparel export house in India. I spent 19 wonderful years at Pearl Global, starting out as an Assistant General Manager (AGM) and progressing to the role of Vice President – Design & Product Development, and Marketing.During my time at Pearl, I played many key roles, some of which included: leading a team of over 75 personnel, including several designers, to execute design projects for American and European clients; managing and directing cross-functional teams to successfully complete projects; collaborating with international designers on projects for the US and Europe; fostering and developing new clients and markets; implementing cost-effective measures; introducing sustainable initiatives; and overseeing several other key managerial, Merchandising and design-related operations.Starting as an individual Assistant General Manager and progressing to develop, establish, and lead my own team of 75 personnel—including designers—encapsulates my successful tenure at Pearl Global.After my lengthy and successful career at Pearl Global Industries Ltd, I have transitioned into my new role as a Freelance Design Consultant, Fashion & Art Curator, and Graphic Designer. In this capacity, I provide the following services: Design and Fashion Consultancy, Fashion & Art Curation, and AI /3d and Graphic Designing.
