   Act as the point of contact to engage (In-Person/Virtual) the elected officials in the respective Congressional and State legislative districts in California. AARP is a non-partisan organization that works on issues that impact the 50+ population.• Participate in a monthly 30–60-minute volunteer call using online resources to get briefed on the issue(s) for the month’s activities.• Conduct brief and focused monthly in-person/virtual/drop-by visits to Members of Congress and state legislator offices to build relationships and to leave AARP information regarding the issue(s) of the month.• Schedule in-person/virtual meetings with Members of Congress and state legislators or their staff when there is a specific ask on behalf of AARP members and the 50+ population.• Complete a report form for each month summarizing the outcome of each meeting with elected official(s) and/or their staff.
