About Rita Salameh
When I started my IT career more than 12 years ago, the world and I were both very different than we are today. The world got smaller while I grew as a person, team leader, and people manager. Since I joined Ericsson in 2010, I have moved across the world, achieved three technical certifications, and completed three leadership training courses. I have become a leader of Women of Ericsson (WE), an employee resource group. I coordinate weekly meetings; host office events; and arrange external networking gatherings. In 2017 I joined Toastmasters International to meet members of the community and network with other professionals in the area.These and many other opportunities enabled me to achieve my current leadership role as an influential and solutions-driven Program Director for Ericsson in Bellevue, Washington. My experience as Solution Architect and Certified Experienced Services Engineer in the GCH leading highly visible service delivery projects fostered my evolution into the collaborative leader I am today. My ability to integrate strategic planning, financial strategy, and communication drives organizational change, stimulates productivity, and increases profitability. Applying Agile methodology, I collaborate across levels and functions to deliver the project. Guiding diverse teams across the globe, I establish standards and negotiate to consensus. Fluency in English, French, and Arabic is extremely beneficial when managing an international team.Managing projects and programs requires active listening. The Program Director and Solution Architect listen to stakeholders, the customer, the project team, and organizational leadership. Building positive customer relationships fosters open communication, simplifies requirements gathering, and facilitates more straightforward planning, execution, realization, and handover of any and all projects.
