   Returning LS30B (Calculus for Life Sciences) Learning Assistant- Reflected on inclusive teaching and learning practices by identifying and shifting my perspective on microaggressions and implementing strategies (using a seating chart) to ensure all students felt noticed and welcomed - Implemented LA core instructional strategies including wait time, redirecting questions, checking for understanding through open/closed-ended questions, and fostering collaboration; demonstrated growth in timing and pacing through feedback and observation- Assessed evidence-based collaborative strategies in section using group collaboration and guided questioning; revised facilitation methods in response to peer feedback and student engagement- Increased confidence in academic communication and teaching, using analogies and accessible explanations to support student learning in complex coding and mathematical content- Implemented inclusive pedagogical approaches by making an effort to pronounce challenging names correctly, learning about different cultural traditions, and intentionally involving all students (especially quieter students)- Provided and implemented suggestions to improve LS30B by fostering greater engagement and equity through personalized student check-ins and more interactive section formats- Enhanced communication between students and TAs by consistently engaging with students, peers, and instructors during discussion sections and team content meetings, helping to cultivate a positive learning environment- Interacted with students and instructors in a meaningful manner by intentionally and authentically learning about students’ lives, as well as through participation in LA reflection sessions, observational rounds, and content meetings
