ABOUT RITA DAYWALT

As the Senior Transitional Care Liaison I oversee the hiring/training/development of clinical liaisons in skilled nursing facilities throughout Michigan. I am responsible for managing the vertical integration of the liaison team in each market\'s key accounts and mentoring relationships between each location and the liaison team to facilitate appropriate admissions and continued census growth. I ensure that the liaisons are able to assist discharge planners and physicians secure placement for their patients in facilities that are able to handle the appropriate level of acuity allowing for stable discharge and decreased readmission rate. In my role as Director of Physician Recruitment and Engagement, I am responsible for developing close partnerships with hospital and community physicians, recruiting those physicians into our locations and managing the relationships between the buildings and the physicians. In addition, I recruit and partner with area specialists, developing specialty programs in the facilities to increase location acuity and growth of market share. I have successfully managed company-wide Marketing and Brand awareness initiatives focused on both internal and external target audiences for greater brand visibility. I developed a company sponsored partnership with a local training institute, recruited, hired and onboarded over 40 new CENA\'s during 2021 to assist our locations during the Covid staffing crisis. I have developed a team that maintains a competitive advantage by differentiating our facilities products and services from the competition in person, during community events and in both print and social media. Prior to this position I was a Hospital Liaison for Heartland, Director of Admissions and Marketing for Heartland Livonia NE and started my career as a CENA at HCR. I also had the honor of being an elected member of the Board of Directors for the Waynesboro Area School District for four years. In my position as Board member I was part of both the Budget and Negotiation committees as well as the District\'s Media Liaison. In addition to Healthcare I am active in both the Education and Special Needs communities. I have served as a volunteer for the Lions Club, the Rotary and the Michigan and Pennsylvania Special Olympics. I have worked as a Special Needs Student/Family Advocate in both Michigan and Pennsylvania and with the Wayne County RESA.
