ABOUT RISHITA PANCHAL JANI

I completed my Diploma in Electronics in the summer of \'08 and my natural next step was to pursue Degree in a similar field. While pursuing my Degree in Electronics and Communication, I realized that my calling was to work in a field that wasn\'t too technical. Since college days, I knew that I loved perfecting my reports over programming and electronics circuits. When I started exploring my options, I stumbled upon Technical Writing. It seemed as if I had found my calling. Technical Writing would let me be close to my major subject, while creating documents.I started off at ibruk Consulting Pvt. Ltd. in May 2011. After completing a great year, I joined my current company, ABB Global Industries & Services Pvt. Ltd.For 8.5 years, I worked in R&D department of Motor and Generator Service, headed by Cajetan Pinto. Keeping my abilities in mind, I always seeked work that allows me to understand the technicalities of machines and services while I document or provide research material. Later, I was given added responsibilities and moved to the post of a Project Associate.While working at R&D, I also completed my PG Diploma in Operations Management.After Service R&D was dissolved, I became a part of a new team called Innovation Lab for Service, where I was responsible for recognizing and understanding customer needs and adding value to enhance our existing Service offerings. I later graduated to the role of Team Lead for Service Solutions Development.In Jan 2020, the organization reshuffled, and I was looking a team that allowed me to still be a creator of sorts. So, in Jan 2021, I officially, became a part of Smart Lab. where our ambition is to create more solutions together with our customers and markets.In Smart lab, we create proof of concepts for solutions in short cycles together with our customers and markets, and test new approaches and foster a \"learn fast, fail fast or scale high\" mentality.
