About Rishika Das Roy
Rishika Das Roy is a Climate Resilience practitioner with over 14 years of experience across the policy cycle from designing, implementing and evaluating climate programmes. She currently leads Sectoral Strategy and Investments at the India Climate Collaborative (ICC), focusing on catalyzing climate action through strategic investments and ecosystem-building. In her last role she was tasked with setting up Oxford Policy Management’s Global Urban Policy Practice which worked at the intersection of cities and climate action in the global South. Focusing on policy advisory to development partners, multilateral agencies and governments. She led the team across different geographies and technical areas ranging from urban policy, climate adaptation, climate governance, urban resilience, and climate specific monitoring and evaluation. Prior to this she has worked on leveraging behavioral insights for resilience, gender and sanitation at BBC Media Action, which included being part of a Technical Support Unit supporting the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India on their key flagship programmes - Smart Cities Mission and Swacch Bharat Mission. She also has experience in direct climate action and community mobilization for Earth Day Network and Ashoka: Innovators for the Public. By training she has a MSc in Environment and International Development from the London School of Economics. In her free time she enjoys volunteering and working on the interplay of heritage conservation and the river in Kolkata. She’s part of a founding team at an organisation trying to curate river experiences and mobilise critical mass for sustainable tourism of waterways. She enjoys dancing, travelling, reading, coffee breaks and lengthy debates on global politics.
