About Rishi Chakraborty
I am a development practitioner with a passion for developing integrated and cross-cutting policy solutions to drive inclusive economic growth and sustainable development. As a Policy Specialist, I support UNDP\'s integrated offer on Inclusive Growth at the Bureau for Policy and Programme Support (BPPS) in New York, tailoring policy and programmatic solutions on national development planning to government authorities, development agencies, and UNDP country and regional offices worldwide. My five years of experience with UNDP includes supporting actionable policy recommendations across sustainable development priorities, including local economic development, jobs and livelihoods, poverty and inequality reduction, trade and value addition, social protection, biodiversity finance and conservation, and sustainable, inclusive, and resilient urban development. My deep commitment to sustainable development is built on a strong academic and analytical foundation. I hold bachelor\'s and master’s degrees in Economics, with a minor in International Relations, from Boston University, which equipped me with rigorous quantitative and qualitative skills to problem-solving. My studies at Columbia University\'s SIPA further cemented this, culminating in a Master of Public Administration with a focus on Sustainable Development Policy. In addition, I have 4 years of experience with PwC\'s Risk and Regulatory Advisory in Health Industries, where I focused on clients in the Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences (PLS) sector with global healthcare solutions and compliance data management for U.S. Federal and State spend transparency reporting, while gaining invaluable consulting skills in project management and stakeholder engagement.
