ABOUT RISHI KHAKHKHAR
I’m a practicing emergency physician and founding team member of Counsel Health, an AI-enabled virtual care company. I have the privilege of leading our clinical team in building best-in-class virtual care programs. In our forward-deployed model, experienced virtualists combine with clinical-grade AI to partner with leading healthcare enterprises—both as a powerful front door to care and through programs for select higher-needs populations, such as patients requiring post-discharge care. In my previous role, I served as the medical director of Mount Sinai\'s Virtual Urgent Care, the largest telemedicine service in the health system. I also led emergency department operations for Hospital-at-Home and supported mobile integrated health efforts across the care continuum. I’m deeply interested in patient-centric, tech-forward, and clinically sound approaches to improve healthcare access and affordability.
