Samta Gram Seva Sansthan (SGSS) was established as a voluntary organization in Vaishali (Bihar) in the year 1979 to work for social justice and equality to fulfill the dream of Sampurna Kranti (movement for total transformation of society) to create an equitable society. Since its inception the organization has been involved in the upliftment of marginal sections of the society through various developmental activities, we believe in teamwork. We are working to organize the rural people for collective action towards development, that development can only take place when the rural people are mobilized to participate in their own upliftment. We are working to achieve total transformation of the society so that the personal dignity, social justice and equity of the common people should be maintained. We try to make them aware and self-reliance, so that they can protect their fundamental rights. We ensure to protect the vulnerable sections of society. Apart from human beings we also look for the safety of environment and animals as they are our environment friend. In past few decades we have worked on many issues with the help of our funding partners, I would like to thank them all who have helped us to reach our goals. We serve to humanity, especially the oppressed living in rural and semi urban communities. Focus is on underprivileged women, deprived children, unemployed youth, aged & physically disabled persons, environment. We cater to their specific problems through need and assets-based approach with active participation of professional and development agencies.
