My role within Financial Planning & Analysis team, Route Services:Business Reporting:I manage performance reports on my functions Scorecard, which consolidates key performance indicators across safety, operational, commercial, and financial measures. I conduct analysis of RS performance data, which involves reviewing the metrics, identifying areas where the business might not be meeting its targets.Stakeholder Management & Data Assurance:I engage with stakeholders on a periodic basis, discussing updates on the RS functions and discuss improvements in metrics. I ensure informed decision-making by offering scorecard insights impacting YTD and FYF figures. Where necessary, I challenge perspectives, asking for solid data evidence to ensure numbers on scorecard are aligned with performance goals and keep my focus on accuracy and reliability of data.Data Modeling:Currently, I am heavily involved in the NR’s project to migrate data from Oracle Business Analytics to Power BI. I play a key role in assisting and creating new data models and flows within my department to improve reporting and analysis processes. These models provide critical insights on reports related to function’s costs in business, railway safety, hours utilization, training completion, and fatigue management. I am also assisting in developing an enhanced Power BI platform that presents Scorecard measures in a more user-friendly way.Ad hoc Data Analysis:In addition to ongoing projects, I provide ad-hoc analysis for various departments, using Pivot tables and Power BI reports to breakdown complex data. I provide insights based on stakeholders needs related to finance, HR, IT, safety, sustainability and efficiencies data.Additionally, NR places a strong emphasis on passenger and employee safety and holds regular sessions, and I actively participate in these discussions. As a member of the Cultural Fusion Community, I help promote cultural awareness and inclusivity within the organization.
