I provide support to teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to the needs of both neurotypical children and those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). I work one-on-one or in small groups with students to reinforce learning objectives, encourage participation, and build confidence. I have experience supporting children with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and learning disabilities. I foster a positive and supportive learning environment by promoting good behaviour, engagement, and emotional well-being while also assisting with classroom management by setting up learning materials, organising resources, and maintaining a structured and orderly space. Additionally, I provide support to students, helping them develop social skills, emotional resilience, and independence. I adapt my communication styles and teaching methods to accommodate different learners, ensuring all students can access meaningful education. I also liaise with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff members to share observations and contribute to student progress assessments. Beyond the classroom, I support children during break and lunchtime periods, promoting positive social interactions and ensuring their safety. As a supply teaching assistant, I work flexibly across different schools and year groups, quickly adapting to new classroom environments and staff teams.
