I write code and build tools for the GBM (Global Banking and Markets) Data & Analytics department, generally using Python 3, Java, Scala, Groovy, Bash, Docker, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, Apache Spark, Kafka, Terraform, Deltalake, Hudi, and Hortonworks/Cloudera tech stack. Currently working within Chief Data & Analytics Office to develop a metadata platform that provides fully automated data lineage and metadata capture. Additionally involved in the design and building out the strategic data processing platform on the cloud - currently Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Been working on building a metadata and data governance framework for big data clusters that is used by business users, data scientists, and fellow data engineers. Main contributions include designing and building out fully automated metadata capture for existing ETL jobs including data cataloging, dataset lineage as well as attribute level lineage, and extending this to a hybrid cloud environment.

Extensive work experience gained in technology, as well as in the financial sector, in fast-paced customer-focused environments has expanded my commercial awareness, leadership, problem-solving and communication skills. Fast learner and am willing to learn and observe and take in a new experience as well as drawing in advice from the industry professionals. The past work experience and internships have fully tested my knowledge but more importantly expanded it.
