My role spans end-to-end electrical infrastructure—from medium-voltage distribution to downstream resiliency systems—ensuring every facility is engineered and operated with best-in-class uptime, safety, and performance.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and own Riot’s enterprise-wide electrical design standards, ensuring consistency, scalability, and resilience across a rapidly expanding hyperscale portfolio.Serve as the technical authority for power systems, guiding design intent, evaluating engineering tradeoffs, and setting long-term reliability strategy.Review and approve consultant deliverables for new builds, expansions, and infrastructure upgrades, driving quality and alignment with Riot’s performance requirements.Lead QA/QC and technical audit programs, establishing a rigorous framework for design validation, equipment selection, construction quality, and operational readiness.Approve commissioning scripts, testing procedures, and integrated systems testing (IST) to guarantee safe and predictable facility operation.Collaborate directly with Riot’s VP of Engineering and senior leadership, providing electrical discipline expertise in executive forums and strategic planning cycles.Mentor engineers and cross-functional partners, elevating engineering capability, decision-making rigor, and long-term talent development across the organization.Champion world-class reliability for high-density, high-availability workloads, leveraging best practices from data centers, critical infrastructure, and advanced automation environments.
