About Riley Harden

As a communications strategist and digital marketing leader, I thrive at the intersection of storytelling, strategy and community engagement. For more than a decade, I’ve helped organizations — from state agencies to local governments, nonprofits and private businesses — craft messages that inform, inspire and build trust.In 2020, I founded Harden Digital & Design, a full-service marketing agency where I serve as CEO and digital director. I lead multi-channel communications strategies, oversee creative production and manage client relationships that range from municipalities to mission-driven nonprofits. My work spans social media management, public relations, website development, podcast production and strategic content planning. For government and public sector clients, I have directed all external messaging, including crisis communications, to ensure timely, accurate and engaging outreach.Before launching my agency, I served as a digital communications coordinator and public information specialist for the Indiana Department of Homeland Security. In those roles, I created and executed statewide public awareness campaigns, managed all agency social media channels and served as an on-call spokesperson. My work in both the public and private sectors has honed my ability to navigate high-pressure situations, communicate complex information clearly and engage diverse audiences.I’m passionate about using communication as a tool for connection — whether that’s aligning internal teams around a shared vision, helping a local business stand out in a crowded market or guiding a community through critical updates. I’m always open to connecting with fellow professionals, exploring collaborations and discussing how strategic communications can drive meaningful impact.
