Creating a spatial database to organize and manage environmental data collected since the inception of the program in 2004. Developing a web map using ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Experience Builder, and Arcade language to visualize and query this data and make it available to the public in various formats. • Transitioning the program from Trimble TerraSync data collection software to ArcGIS Field Maps, which involves updating current feature class structures and using Field Maps Designer and Arcade language to create a dynamic and intuitive user experience.• Conducts and leads aquatic vegetation surveys on waterbodies statewide during the field season. This involves native and invasive aquatic plant identification, spatial data collection, water quality data collection, overseeing a seasonal research assistant, and maintaining and piloting a motor boat.• Analyzes environmental data, creates visualizations including maps and graphs, and writes reports explaining the results of an aquatic vegetation survey and the changes in the aquatic plant community over time.• Conducts aquatic plant identification workshops for members of lake associations and other community organizations as well as school groups.
