ABOUT RIGNAM WANGKHANG

As the AI Advisor at CBC News, I’m the dedicated AI lead across our newsrooms, managing everything from pilot projects to building adoption approaches that work. I co-founded the Canadian AI Journalism Network (CAIJN) to convene newsroom leaders, technologists, and practitioners who are shaping how AI transforms Canadian media, from experimenting with new storytelling formats to rethinking business models and addressing the economics of AI-driven disruption.Through my Fellowship at CUNY’s AI Journalism Lab, I collaborate with global media leaders to develop ethical frameworks that put community trust at the centre of AI transformation.
