About Righteous Richards
As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist Project Specialist at Millennium Health, I create, test and verify various drug testing panels as well as participate in the data analysis, review and reporting of laboratory results for drug testing and pharmacogenetics. I apply my MLS (ASCP) certification and my extensive laboratory skills to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of the reports that inform clinical decisions and patient care. I also collaborate with other scientists, technicians, and quality assurance specialists to maintain the highest standards of quality and compliance in the laboratory.I have multiple years of experience in Clinical Laboratory Science, with a focus on Microbiology and Toxicology. I started my career as a trainee at El Centro Regional Medical Center, where I performed various duties in different departments and learned the fundamentals of clinical laboratory practice. I then advanced to an introductory dual position as a Microbiology Lead and Point of Care Supervisor at Corona Regional Medical Center, where I supervised and trained other Clinical Scientists and Registered Nurses, implemented/validated new protocols and procedures, and contributed to the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases. I am passionate about applying my knowledge and skills to improve the health and well-being of patients and communities. My managerial experience spans from a variety of different positions that I\'ve held throughout my working life. I have been quickly promoted in most companies I have worked for as my aptitude for leadership quickly becomes apparent. I have a wide array of skills that includes a mastery of the Microsoft Suite, most Information Systems utilized by laboratories and even Civil Engineering software. I also have the ability to quickly learn and teach the use of new devices and systems as shown by my history as a Point of Care Supervisor. One of my core beliefs is that you don\'t truly know what you\'re talking about until you are able to explain it to someone who is not familiar with your field of work. I utilize this mentality in my pursuit of education and learning as a leader for all my colleagues. As someone who has started from the bottom rung of the ladder (as a Laboratory Assistant and Phlebotomist) and climbed her way up through the Clinical Laboratory to a supervisory level, I am immensely proud of my achievements and hope to benefit whatever company I work. for.
