About Rieek Nyoach
I am a graduate of Saginaw Valley State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a minor in Psychology. During my studies, I was actively involved in student organizations, including the Sociology Club, and shared my lived experience as a refugee at the Michigan Sociological Association conference. I have spoken at fundraising events for nonprofit organizations such as Nonviolent Peaceforce and Rotary Club and volunteered with The Mustard Seed, supporting homeless women and children. These experiences strengthened my skills in public speaking, interpersonal communication, and leadership. I am passionate about continuing my work in the nonprofit or counseling field to serve diverse communities and create meaningful impact.
