As a Principal Software Engineer, I use my past experience as a mobile developer to define API specifications, and I\'m responsible for the architecture, development, and deployment of these APIs for our Paid Games products. These include Yahoo Daily Fantasy, Yahoo Fantasy Slate and a few internal services which are used by multiple properties within Yahoo Sports. These APIs are directly consumed by our mobile and web applications (desktop and mobile-web). In addition to these day-to-day duties, I\'m responsible for mentoring junior engineers, enforcing strict code reviews and the continuous modernization of our code. Before switching roles, I was the technical lead for the Yahoo Fantasy Sports Android application. During this time I oversaw and supported several major initiatives, including rearchitecting key components of the app, such as the network stack and navigation flow, and I worked on multiple redesigns and features which drove engagement and revenue. I was responsible for timely releases, which followed non-negotiable external deadlines (Sports calendar) while maintaining a high bar of quality and performance which was measured by KPIs such as crash rate, cold-start time, ANRs and app-reviews. I also represented the team in company-wide meetings to discuss weekly progress on the aforementioned KPIs. I have also worked on a few features for the Yahoo Fantasy iOS application.
