About Riddhimaan Senapati

A Masters student at UMass Amherst, I am deeply passionate about leveraging AI technology to provide multi-pronged effective options towards reaching out solutions to real-world problems. I developed an innovative RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) chatbot for the UMass Unity High-Performance Computing & AI platform hosted at the Massachusetts Green High Performance Computing Center (MGHPCC) as an AI & AWS Intern.Key responsibilities included building the frontend with Streamlit, architecting the RAG pipeline using AWS Bedrock for the backend, and creating the knowledge base by scraping over 164+ documentation links. This project aimed at enhancing user support and accessibility to MGHPCC resources.I served as a project lead and software developer at BUILD UMass, where I contributed to the Aarti project, enhancing my skills in collaborative development and innovative problem-solving environment working on an app for vulnerable women with an inbuilt chatbot.I was an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for CS 240, the Reasoning Under Uncertainty course and during last Spring, I had the privilege of working as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for CS 446, a Search Engines course where I supported students in mastering basic principles of search engines and NLP along with faculty.As an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, I am proficient in frontend (JavaScript, React Native) and backend (Node.js, Python) technologies, HTML/CSS, and modern frontend frameworks. Experienced in building mobile or web applications. Have strong understanding of full-stack architecture, RESTful APIs and integration with backend systems. Experienced with database management (SQL, NoSQL) and cloud services.My primary interests lie in machine learning, data science and software development, and I am eager to continue expanding my knowledge and experience in these fields. I am excited about the potential of technology to drive change and am always looking for opportunities to learn and grow.
