These are challenging and exciting times in mobile communications with network consolidation and sharing, and new technology rollout happening like never before. I am proud to have made substantial contributions to the rollout and updating of several radio access networks, working for operators, vendors and suppliers, and still to be adding value to organisations and projects alike. Over the last 20 years I have contributed to: GSM ( 2G ) infrastructure build out for Orange PCS sites) as Head of Sites Construction. UMTS ( 3G ) RAN rollout for Orange PCS (3,200 sites) as Head of Infrastructure Expansion. Huawei\'s explosive growth as a major player on RAN in the UK as Huawei\'s Wireless Programmes Director (£0.25 billion in sales). GSM ( 2G ) and UMTS ( 3G ) modernisation and consolidation of EE\'s network (3,500 sites) as Huawei\'s Project Director, and rollout of LTE ( 4G )(2,200 sites). GSM (2G) and UMTS ( 3G ) consolidation and MORAN rollout of Telefonica\'s and Vodafone\'s shared RAN (4,200 sites) and rollout of LTE ( 4G )(5,500 sites) first as Head of Beacon Active Delivery, and then as CTIL\'s Delivery Director. In 20 years of building RAN sites, and rolling out base station and microwave equipment I have worked for two operators (Orange, T-Mobile), a JV (CTIL), two OEM vendors (Ericsson, Huawei), an ADC contractor (Infratec) and a tower co start-up (Shared Access). This gives me a uniquely blended experience and perspective. My experience has built upon the necessary qualifications including Chartered Engineer ( CEng ), Membership of the Institution of Engineering and Technology ( MIET ), honours degree in electronic engineering ( BEng ) from Sheffield University. I am also a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI ) reflecting years of experience managing people and projects, and a record of delivering sustained performance. I have recently gained PRINCE2 Foundation (90%) and Practitioner (74%) qualifications.
