ABOUT RICKY T.
I am an interdisciplinary musician and leader in music education, committed to inclusive, high-quality music education informed by research, performance, and reflective practice. A recipient of the Trinity Laban Cassal Prize for Woodwind, I graduated with First Class Honours in Music from King’s College London, and was recently elected to the college associateship in November 2024. I then undertook postgraduate study at the IOE, UCL\'s Faculty of Education and Society.My teaching experience spans KS3–5 across both mixed and single-sex secondary settings, where I have directed ensembles, developed inclusive curriculum delivery, and embedded strong routines to support high expectations and pupil progress. Alongside this, I have run a successful private studio teaching piano, flute, and music theory, and remain engaged with current educational discourse as a performer, speaker, and writer. I am continuing my professional journey at an Ofsted \'Outstanding\', coeducational IB World School, where I am committed to driving excellence and fostering innovation within our vibrant and creative music department.
