ABOUT RICKY TYREE
Born in Upstate New York and raised in the South side of Atlanta, Georgia, Ricky Tyree\'s original goal was to study psychology to help others that felt like him. He later fell in love with video production and filmmaking in High School after realizing the number of people he could reach with the stories he wanted to tell. Without a mentor, he would make his own shoulder rigs out of PVC pipes and would shoot anything he could. He attended Miles College, an HBCU in outside of Birmingham, Alabama where he took his first writing course. By 2017, he would get his first opportunity to work on the set of Netflix\'s The Haunting Of Hill House as a location assistant. That eventually led to working with other productions such as Bad Boys For Life, Raising Dion, Doctor Sleep, Marvel\'s Echo, and over 20 other productions. During that time, Ricky was officially selected in over 55 screenplay competitions, studied Marketing & Distributing Indie Films at UCLA, and was accepted into a couple of directing courses from Sundance Film Festival\'s Collab program. In 2022, he founded Southern Nebula Media and is currently working on bringing his award-winning screenplays to life.
