Lead a team of data scientist and data engineers that focuses on building generalizable tools across multiple divisions within Ford. Divisions in Ford my team does ML/AI projects for:• Over the Air updates (Bug tracking of software updates)• Ford Pro Intelligence (SaaS products for Commercial fleet customers) • Prognostics (predicting or early detection of part failures)• Customer Privacy (I manage a privacy team but not a specialization of mine)• Other Ad Hoc requestsSome examples of the generalizable work my team has done.Expected Utility model- ML models require precision/recall tradeoff choice but do not provide this endogenously. The customer needs a solution that accounts for their cost, benefits, and risks. This generalizable tool solves for optimal tradeoffs, compares various models, and calculates the shadow value of incremental model improvement. Shadow value indicates the utility gain from marginally improving the model. Anytime valid inference statistical testing- sequential detection method provides statistical guarantees (e.g, controlled Type I error rates) at any time. Important for any time we are running repeated testing, for example daily checks on new bugs, outlier signals detection, failure threshold testing in prognostics. Generative Modeling of Normal Operations- building a generative model we can focus on deviations from a normal baseline versus discriminative models. This tool is incredibly useful in prognostics where there is an abundance of normal “on the road” behavior data but anomalies such as those created by faults are very limited.Other potentially relevant highlights from previously activities in this role. • Managed team in the US and team in Mexico.• Built a prototype AI chat bot to pull vehicle stats and query responses for commercial fleet customers.• NLP feedback analysis on customer survey feedback• Organized review process and wrote spec documents for data science to data engineering3 Patents filed
