About Ricky Dhaliwal
Dr. Dhaliwal is a dual trained emergency and internal medicine physician, and an attorney. He also has a background in computer science and programming that includes work at the National Defense University and the Government Accountability Office, Dr. Dhaliwal’s unique skill set has continued to enable him to serve in leadership positions including past president of the member Emergency Resident Association and Medical Director of Urgent Care of Hennepin County Medical Center. He has worked on hospital and system wide initiatives in the realm of provider risk, standardization of care, patient safety, ED operations, and quality improvement. He is Board certified in Emergency Medicine. He currently resides in Denver, Colorado where he is a partner with Carepoint a truly physician owned multispecialty group. He is Medical Director of the ED at Swedish Medical Center, which is a level one trauma center in Denver, and is the Director of Government and Legislative Affairs for Carepoint. On the side, Ricky has helped multiple startups in the Health Care arena to navigate the health care space and help to direct their development. He continues to do legislative advocacy work in the state and nationally related to health care and serves as Past President of Colorado Chapter for American College of Emergency Physicians, Headed the EM State ACEP Covid Task Force, is Vice Chair of Colorado Medical Societies’ legislative committee as well as on the board of the CMS PAC. He also serves on multiple committees at the National Level for the American College of Emergency Physicians including Chair of the State Legislative and Regulatory Committee and currently serves on the BOD of the Naloxone Project. He is also part of Logos Helix Partners which is an angel investor group that looks to leverage the expertise of physicians across the country to invest in early stage innovative healthcare related companies and to help them to continue to develop their products.
