About Ricky Cordova

I\'m on a mission to build a more equitable future in healthcare, leveraging my expertise in biomedical engineering, business, and design to create innovative solutions for overlooked issues in women’s health and beyond. After studying bioengineering at Stanford University, I worked as a professional research scientist leading the design and development of endoscopic devices for the early detection of ovarian cancer. Inspired by the opportunity to bring groundbreaking women\'s health research to the market, I left the lab to complete the Harvard Medical School HealthTech Fellowship and pursue a deeper mastery of patient-centered clinical innovation, research commercialization strategies, and entrepreneurship. This experience was further enriched by an externship at IDEO, where I learned the art of design consulting and innovation from world-renowned product design leaders and healthcare strategists. After forgoing an MD-PhD acceptance to found a women\'s health startup, I completed a dual-degree MS/MBA in Engineering Sciences at Harvard Business School, where I organized the first-ever HBS Women\'s Health Summit and was selected as a Kaplan Life Science Fellow. With deep industry knowledge, technical expertise, and a growing mastery of healthcare strategy, I joined BCG\'s healthcare practice to help the world\'s largest women\'s health companies and global health non-profits unlock better outcomes for patients worldwide.
