ABOUT MTC: The Missional Training Center was started in 2012 by the founding leaders of the Surge Network. They saw a need for continued theological education upon the same gospel foundation that was impacting the laity discipleship of the church in the Phoenix Valley and greater Arizona. MTC was born out of this disruptive initiative to train leaders of the Church in our city. The Surge Network and the Missional Training Center are independent entities that function with interdependence within the same gospel ecosystem of the Church in Phoenix. The theological current that runs through these movements is the gospel dynamic of: the Gospel of the Kingdom, Biblical Story, Missional People, and Missionary Encounter with Culture. MTC is accredited with Covenant Theological Seminary in Creve Coeur, Missouri.
