Head of Actuarial Risk Management, including Asset Liability Management and Financial ModelingI lead actuarial and risk management services for actuarial model-based risk management applications such as Economic Capital / Enterprise Risk Management, Asset Liability Management, Own Risk Solvency Assessment (ORSA) compliance, Cash Flow Testing, Liquidity Testing, and Financial Planning. My position also directs the support of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program which includes program development and providing direction for management of risks across the organization. Partnering with the businesses and shared services, in coordination with the ERM Department, I help ensure that risks are identified and considered in the development of the strategic vision, and proactively manages the balance of risk and rewards of the business. My role contributes to the organization’s definition of risk appetite and tolerance, risk assessments, and provides input to the Enterprise Risk Management working groups and risk coordinators. I also lead the performance of various Asset-Liability Management functions for the insurance products. I participate in the financial management of the company by providing actionable information that enables senior management to make appropriate decisions. I am responsible for the integrity of the ALM process and actuarial models for the insurance product lines, corporate and enterprise risk management. I oversee the Actuarial Model Development area as Head of Modeling which includes model governance, change management. and model risk management.
