ABOUT RICHARD KEIR

I have acquired over 38 years of experience in the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF). As a professional Military Intelligence Officer I built deep knowledge of Intelligence & ISR, the Defence Targeting Enterprise, Space, and the broader Defence and National Security communities. I am a recognised strategist and subject matter expert in the fields of ISR and targeting. I now provide strategic advisory and consultancy services to the intelligence & ISR, targeting, space, defence, and national security communities, as well as Australian and international industry who are currently engaged, or want to engage, with these communities through my company, Stirling Advisory. Stirling Advisory has a range of clients that specialise in the world of operationally focused and driven data, information and intelligence. These include companies (currently Australian, US and New Zealand) that focus on space based ISR, intelligence, open-source intelligence, artificial intelligence, maritime domain awareness, strategic consulting, IT, and integrated technology and engineering solutions.I have built a strong reputation as a strategically thinking, innovative, collaborative and collegiate senior executive and thought leader. I am by nature an active change agent who conceptualises, designs, builds and leads organisations, policies and programs in pursuit of enhanced value, and someone who is highly adept at achieving difficult and complex missions. Career highlights include being appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in 2003, being awarded the Conspicuous Service Cross (CSC) in 2009, being the first Air Force Intelligence Officer to be promoted to the rank of Air Commodore (O-7 or one star), and building, leading, managing, and governing organisations that included up to 200 of Australia’s, and the FVEYs\', finest men and women.
