About Ricki Schneider
We must return what we take from the Earth.\"I love trying to untangle the mysteries of the microcosmos within our own bodies, and that love is reflected in my view of our entirely connected global ecology. Right now I\'m helping agricultural companies understand how crustacean by-products from the seafood industry elicit powerful responses from plants\' immune systems, thus reducing our reliance on problematic pesticides and building resilience in our crops. My journey towards understanding our natural world began at WWU in 2010, but it didn\'t end at graduation: with a degree in chemistry and a passion for ecological systems, I found many fascinating career opportunities open up before me. After spending over 4 years learning about botanical extraction techniques and participating in botrytis research, I ventured forth into the global job market. In September of 2018, a company with bleeding-edge innovations in the probiotic world of growing/cleaning/maintaining biological systems approached me with the intent to launch themselves into various industries of the USA. After dipping my toe in the frontline of agricultural advancements, I decided to take a deeper dive. I\'m currently working for Tidal Grow AgriScience: we\'re expanding the reach of ocean-based agricultural technologies with our high-quality seafood hydrolysate fertilizers and bio-based pesticides.
