About Rick H.
I build production-ready AI Agents that don’t hallucinate, forget, or fail on day 3. Specializing in Harness Engineering (the infrastructure that makes agents reliable) and Context Engineering (the art of giving agents exactly the right context at the right time). 20+ years turning experimental AI into enterprise ROI. DM me ‘PLAYBOOK’ or ‘HARNESS’ for the free 2026 Agent Reliability guide + 15-minute audit. From building systems at Apple to pioneering AI at Capital One and the NFL: I\'ve spent 20 years learning what it takes to make enterprise software truly intelligent.Today, I architect autonomous AI systems that don\'t just answer questions; they reason, plan, and take action to solve real business problems across finance, legal, and enterprise domains.Here\'s what I bring to the table:I build production-ready AI solutions that work in the real world. While many are still experimenting with chatbots, I\'m deploying multi-agent orchestration platforms that coordinate across OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Gemini, and AWS Bedrock. My universal AI infrastructure adapts to diverse business contexts, enabling organizations to leverage the best capabilities without vendor lock-in.I\'m currently at the forefront of Agentic Agents and RAG: building the foundational infrastructure that enables AI to interact with external tools and services. This is the evolution from passive AI assistants to active AI agents that autonomously execute across enterprise systems. What others say:\"Rick is among the most elite engineers I have encountered. he has no shortage of innovation plus he can code at the speed of light.\" — David Castillo, PhD, Sr. VP of ML, Capital OneReady to transform your AI strategy from experimental to production-ready? Microservices, cloud computing, AWS Lambda, streaming/Kafka/Kinesis, Kubernetes, and Service Mesh consulting and training. Working with Jenkins, GCP/GKE, Kind, Minikube, Docker, Spring Boot and more to deliver microservices and data engineering solutions using CI/CD and best practices.March/April/May 2020: Rick worked on several mobile backend applications, data analytics pipelines, and BI reports using AWS Gov Cloud. This work included using JWT tokens, hardened auth tools, Spring Boot, AWS Lambda, BeanStalk, DynamoDB, Kinesis, ECS, Fargate, Athena, Kinesis Firehose and AWS Glue (implemented in Scala, Kotlin, and C#), ElasticSearch, for Covid19 response (logistics and analytics) related projects. Rick also worked on a bi-directional request/reply bridge between NATS/NGS and IBM MQ for a middleware company related to FinTech using Java/Kotlin, NATS, IBM MQ, Docker, JMS, NGINX, Docker-Deploy, and Travis for CI/CD. He also worked on the opensource Java NATS client, a high-speed messaging service. In Jan/Feb 2020, Rick spoke at CTO Forum on Service Mesh implementations (e.g. Istio), observability, and zero-trust networking. He also put together a series of talks on DevOps best practices and CI/CD loosely based off of the Accelerate DevOps book covering trunk-based development, feature flags, cloud-native adoption and best practices around Kubernetes deployments which he delivered to several fortune 100 companies. More recently he is working with AWS Fargate, Kinesis, Athena, DynamoDB, Lambda, etc. implementing highly secure systems running in AWS GovCloud that collect data and perform analytics. In 2020 and 2019, Rick worked with fortune 100 companies to set up and adopt Kubernetes and Service Mesh. Rick has experience with Istio, OpenShift, and GCP/GKE.
