Professional Background:Rick Hawkins is a distinguished biotechnology entrepreneur and executive with a proven track record of founding, growing, and successfully exiting innovative life sciences companies. Most recently, Mr. Hawkins served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chairman of Lumos Pharma, a biotechnology company he led to a successful exit.Mr. Hawkins began his career by founding Pharmaco, where, as Chairman, President, and CEO, he expanded the company to over 700 employees. Pharmaco provided comprehensive clinical development services, including Phase I-IV trials and analytical chemistry, before merging with Applied Bioscience International. He then oversaw their international Research & Development operations. Pharmaco later merged with PPD, forming one of the largest global clinical contract research organizations.Following Pharmaco’s success, Mr. Hawkins founded id2—a pharmaceutical and biotech research management company—serving as Chairman and CEO.
