ABOUT RICK BROWN

Rick Brown is an energetic high tech leader that has a strong background in process improvement, software development and team building. Rick has worked in several industries and most currently set up a technology program for two business units that each bring over $6 billion in revenue to Ingram Micro. His past adventures include being Project Manager in several mortgage finance companies; leading a development team at Molina; being the Production Manager for the launch of the LA market for Sprint PCS; managing SQL and Web production teams at Pacific Life; streamlining the manufacturing of cameras for the military Predator drones; globally managing the Y2K project for the Fluor Corporation; implementing one of the first radio enabled PC’s for police and fire use; and many other high tech projects. Mr. Brown is also very active in his time outside of the normal workday. He is an event EMT working numerous concerts and sporting events in the area. Mr. Brown also volunteers his time to help others with 19 years as the Vice President of the Emerald Bay Fire Department; managing a team that was a semifinalist in building a robot for the Defense Department competition and, served as the Vice President of the JD Edwards Southern California User Group. He is passionate about his work and enjoys helping others excel in their goals. Mr. Brown’s enthusiastic and happy demeanor is easily absorbed by those around him. He has four wonderful kids and two grandkids. He loves anything near the ocean, the LA Lakers, the Angels, and golf. He has completed four marathons including one of the hardest in North America and plans to start running 5K races for charities next year.
