As a columnist, critic, reviewer, feature writer and occasional college professor, I\'ve reported on the transformation of filmed entertainment from its inception to its availability on the Internet and On-Demand. Producer,\"Before Hollywood,\" 2018 winner best documentary Mid-Atlantic Emmys Film critic emerita, The Philadelphia Inquirer (19••••11) My art criticism and art-related features have appeared for Artforum, Art in America, Interview and The Village Voice (19••••81) and served as a curator for many exhibitions including \"The 1984 Show\" at The Ronald Feldman Gallery. I\'ve been a columnist for Mademoiselle (19••••90) and New Woman (19••••88), a regular contributor to American Film and Film Comment and a frequent contributor to The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. My essays are collected in numerous anthologies including The American Century, Library of America\'s American Movie Critics, The Rolling Stone History of Rock\'n\'Roll and Top of the Order. From CNN and MSNBC to NPR\'s Talk of the Nation and On Point, I am a frequent commentator on film. This includes handicapping the Oscars, providing career appreciations of actors and directors and engaging callers curious about the correlation between film violence and that in real life.(My clip reel is available on request). My consulting work includes special projects for Turner Classic movies (2001) and Comcast Interactive Media(2007). I host Close Encounters at Philadelphia\'s Kimmel Center where guests include Kevin Bacon, M. Night Shyamalan and Bob Zemeckis. I am a frequent host at the Free Library of Philadelphia\'s author series where I have interviewed Peter Bogdanovich, Leslie Caron, Nora Ephron and Anjelica Huston.
