ES & H Advisor for the $6.5 Billion Uranium Processing Facility (UPF) Project at Y-12 in Oak Ridge, TN. Responsible for waste management activities including 90-Day Accumulation Areas, Satellite Accumulation Areas (SAAs), and Universal Waste Area inspections and management; stormwater permitting and inspections; SPCC inspections; spill control, response, and clean-up; client coordination, liaison, and project status reporting; Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) reviews and approvals; hazardous material inventories; UPF project deliverables review and preparation; resource planning; liaison and coordination with STRs, Task Managers, subcontractors, and craft personnel; safety and health issues such as fall protection, barricades/signs, elevated work, hand/power tools, heavy equipment operations, scaffolding, PPE, respiratory protection, excavations, hoisting/rigging, HAZCOM, lockout/tagout, welding & hot work, concrete placement, ironwork, pipefitting, carpentry, etc; conducting management assessments; participating in ES & H audits and surveillances; environmental permitting; reuse and sustainability initiatives; and other related duties.Accomplishments included- Multiple TDEC and USEPA RCRA waste area and storm water pollution prevention plan inspection audits and surveillances successfully completed with zero findings and zero non-compliances- Updated/revised UPF Construction Environmental Control Plan (CECP) and various Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) documents- Zero State or USEPA reportable spills and coordinated numerous successful localized spill response efforts- Initiated various ES & H process improvements including more efficient waste handling and disposal through extensive coordination with CNS project and management personnel at Y-12 and various safety and health process improvements- Integral part of ES & H UPF construction team for both field ES & H concerns and issues.
