ABOUT RICK TULLSON

40 years experience in the trucking and oilfield transportation industry. 30 years of that driving, combined with the last 20 years in supervisory and managerial roles. My experience has always been in Western Canada and Arctic areas where there is never a bad day, just challenging days. I started as a driver, hauling everything from fluids to freight to oilfield and heavy hauls. I started management duties in interspersed with driving on and off untill I took a break from the middle management grind of one of my my employers, an oilfield rentals company. I held a safety position for 10 years and enjoyed the challenge of keeping employees safe, mentoring new people to the industry and working to improve our safety record. I held the position of Co Chair with the Northern Alberta AMTA and the Overland Transport rep with the Grande Prairie Oilfield Subcommittee which is very involved in changing policies involving provincial and federal transportation, untill the closing of Overland Transport in April 2020. My new position with JDA Oilfield Hauling, utilizes my experience by performing field site safety audits, training / mentoring new drivers, evaluations and additional site supervision on larger projects.
