Frederick G. “Rick” Thorpe is the Deputy Commander, Defense Contract Management Agency Sikorsky Aircraft. He assists the Commander in leading a major field activity that covers seven operating sites in three states with a combined staff of nearly 180 civilian and military professionals overseeing the Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation. His oversight includes management of approximately contracts with a value of more than $43 billion on five ACAT IC & D Rotary Wing Programs. In FY15, DCMA Sikorsky Aircraft personnel accepted 188 aircraft on behalf of the Government and our Allied Nations while logging over 2500 sorties and 2700 mishap free flight hours. Previously, he served as the Command’s Engineering and Manufacturing Director as well as the Quality Director. In these roles, he served as the Command’s primary focal point for policy deployment, customer relations, industrial support, earned value, engineering and supply chain integration.
