ABOUT RICK RIJSDIJK

Rick is a founding Director at Social Value Lab. He is an experienced researcher and consultant that specialises in developing the potential of enterprising third sector organisations and social enterprises. He has worked with public, private, and voluntary organisations across the UK, Holland, and the Philippines. He combines particular expertise in feasibility assessment, business and financial planning, the formation of new social ventures, project evaluation, service redesign, and social impact measurement, with hands-on experience in managing social enterprises. Over the years Rick has developed a particular interest in new approaches to community capacity building, the community control and management of assets, and the role of third sector in public sector reform. He has built up expertise in developing the third sector in a variety of fields, including arts and culture, social care, community transport, community health, addictions, community food, youth services, community planning, employability, learning disability, and regeneration. He is currently an active member of the SROI Network. He is a trained SROI-evaluator, an accredited SROI practitioner, and a member of the SROI Network’s Assurance Panel and Methodology Working Group.
