About Rick Griggs
San Francisco has been a great adventure for over 5 years now and I really love the California vibe. Taste Catering and Event Planning is an exemplary company and very supportive of the San Francisco Community. One endeavor has been working closely for many years with Meals on Wheels in managing their large fundraising gala every year. This is a great event with notable chef\'s of the San Francisco Bay Area participating. It\'s also fun and challenging making pastry for the elite of the tech world and fashion industry. I moved here from Dallas, Texas and was really fortunate to work with great chef\'s there, notably, Kent Rathbun and Dean Fearing. I grew up in Texas and still love many aspects of of my upbringing such as farm to table cooking and dining, good barbeque and Southern hospitality. I have had pastry gigs in New Orleans, Sedona, and Miami, all of which have garnered their own valuable lessons and friendships. For fun I love eating out with my friends and family and traveling. I am also a painter of abstract artwork. I have enjoyed some notoriety as a result of my paintings and pastry.

Taste is the exclusive caterer for the Walt Disney Family Museum, Press Club and Filoli Gardens.My current pastry team of 5 employees maintains an excellent quality pastry production, providing to our above mentioned exclusive venues as well as Apple, Google, Pixar, Square, HBO and retail fashion venues in San Francisco. Taste also caters prominent weddings in the Bay Area and Sonoma/Napa Vineyards. Taste Catering Pastry team now provides packaged French Macarons for Macy\'s Union Square in San Francisco.
