ABOUT RICK GORMAN
Who am I? An engineer and leader with over 20 years experience in the provision of Cyber operational solutions within diverse contexts. I thrive on change and relish the next business challenge. Neither phased by complexity or scope I don’t seek the mundane. I thrive within a team of like-minded individuals but even more if I’m leading. The organisational culture I work within is important to me, I strive to deliver beyond expectations and expect my employer to facilitate the environment for this to happen. Now focused on delivering Cyber Security solutions within a commercial context I have specialised in the development and delivery of complex Cyber Defence Operational solutions including Cyber SOCs at National level. To further support my experience I hold qualifications such as a MSc in Information Security from Royal Holloway, University of London, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, Management of Risk, Prince2, APM Practitioner credentials. Already an experienced project manager I have delivered CIS and Cyber solutions in the UK and overseas with particular experience in the Middle East which leaves me with the remnants of colloquial Arabic under my belt and a hankering for humus. Give me a team and I can motivate them – I’ve done it time and again under considerable pressures (time/resource/security) and I’ve always succeeded. I have enjoyed every minute of it also.
