ABOUT RICHARD PITTMAN

I\'m a career IT Management professional, with a decade of military communications experience, followed by twelve years of experience in the public and defense contracting sectors. My professional interest is in management/leadership positions in IT Operations or Project Management, Customer Support, IT Business Process Management, and Consulting. My unique and most valuable qualities include organizational leadership, project/mission planning, operational management, junior leader development, and process development. My technical skills and interests continue to grow and widen to include new technologies, as well as emerging management techniques.I bring to the table a balance of proactive leadership and involved, hands-on technical abilities, a combination that has been proven throughout a ten-year military career. I am a leader who truly enjoys getting my hands dirty. I believe that in order to manage people, one must understand their duties, responsibilities, and challenges. in this way, a leader can inspire and motivate through mutual understanding and professional respect.My wife and I love to travel, kayak, try new foods, cook, garden and landscape, and spend time with friends. I enjoy golf, racquetball, softball, frisbee, woodwork, tinkering in the garage, and fixing just about anything that can break. I enjoy being part of and leading a team of folks who enjoy helping others do their jobs effectively. I find personal satisfaction in integrating into an organization and contributing to the mission.
