The City of Cape Coral operates under a Council-Manager form of government, guided by the principles outlined in the City\'s Charter, akin to a constitution. In this governance model, the Mayor and Council appoint a City Manager, who assumes the role of the chief administrative officer.The City Manager oversees, directs, and coordinates various departments within City Hall, taking charge of budget preparation for Council deliberation and presenting reports and recommendations. Residents elect a Mayor and seven Council Members, with council members qualifying in their respective districts but being elected at large. Elected members must reside in their district and have maintained continuous full-time residency in the city for the entire year preceding their qualification for office. All elections are non-partisan, with terms lasting four years, and members restricted to two consecutive terms.

As a City Council Member in Cape Coral, FL, I have been proudly serving the residents of District 4 since December 2023. I bring to this role over 30 years of experience in public administration, with 25 years in law enforcement. My mission is to enhance the quality of life and safety of our community, while ensuring fiscal responsibility and transparency. I have demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills in various roles within public administration. I have developed and implemented strategic plans, policies, and programs that address complex issues and foster positive change. I have also managed budgets, resources, and personnel for optimal operational efficiency. Additionally, I have built strong relationships with stakeholders, law enforcement agencies, and government officials, collaborating and communicating effectively to achieve successful outcomes. I hold a Bachelors degree in Public Administration from Barry University and have graduated from the prestigious FBI National Academy. I am dedicated to providing outstanding public service to the residents and businesses in Cape Coral, FL.
