My career path in HR began while I was in the U.S. Air Force. Since then, I have advanced to executive level within the healthcare industry and broadened my expertise while with Hershey Medical System/Penn State Health, now a complex healthcare organization that has grown to employees from over my tenure. My team and I actually recruited 85% of our current employees. As a solution-based leader, I established a full-cycle recruitment department and talented team from the ground up that has become highly regarded for surpassing goals and objectives. I directed compensation for a number of years, have assumed leadership of L&D, and implemented and improved processes and HR-based systems. I have teamed with the CHRO and other leaders as a key contributor to organizational change and strategic growth and expansion. A key aspect of this includes large M & As—from due diligence through to integration of hundreds, and even several thousand new employees, and investing time to help employees makes sense of such monumental change to engage and bring people together. Findings from the DISC: Get along with a wide variety of people based on sincere interest in people and inherent patience in working with others. Able to bring various individuals together who might not otherwise cooperate and negotiate conflicts into win-win situations. Easily build rapport and develop trust and credibility with others.
