About Richard Tarling
I lead Goldman Sachs\'s Digitization & Workflow Engineering Team within Core Engineering where I am focused on driving enterprise scale digital transformation through the development of process and decision automation platforms powered by model-driven and no-code / low-code methods.Previously I worked as a global technical lead and architect building enterprise scale post-execution trade processing systems in GS\'s Operations Engineering division across listed and OTC securities and derivatives.My areas of focus include scalable and resilient Java real-time distributed systems, service and object oriented design, model-driven methods (including process, data and decision modeling), testability, agile methods and user experience centered design. I also maintain an ongoing interest in artificial intelligence and machine learning methods.I hold a degree in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge, England, and an MPhil. degree in Computer Speech and Language Processing from the same institution.A few other facts about me- I have lived in Belgium, the United Kingdom, Japan and the United States of America and currently live in Hoboken, New Jersey- I am a national of the United Kingdom and US Green Card holder- I speak English (fluent), French (conversational) and German (conversational).
