ABOUT HEATHER RICHARDS ED. D.

I am an organizational leadership scholar, educator, and change management professional focused on ethical, human-centered transformation in higher education. My work sits at the intersection of leadership education, faculty development, instructional design, and organizational change.I have served as Director of Faculty Development and as an academic instructional designer, and I currently teach leadership and management. My academic background includes an EdD and MS in Organizational Leadership, a BA in Psychology, and an AS in General Studies. I am certified in ADKAR for digital transformation and am completing a certification through MIT focused on generative AI in change management.I approach AI not as a stand-alone tool, but as a structural force that reshapes teaching, governance, authority, and institutional culture. My work emphasizes responsible adoption, academic integrity, and sustainable change that respects both faculty expertise and student learning.I am particularly interested in roles and collaborations that involve institutional change leadership, ethical AI policy development, faculty development, and leadership education.
