Highland Highland Materials, Inc. is positioned to be one of the world’s most efficient producers of ultra-pure polysilicon. Highland’s competitive advantage is its patent protected silicon purification technology. Highland’s production process has significant environmental advantages as compared with traditional Silicon purification methods. It requires less than half the energy, it produces less than 1/10th the greenhouse gas, and it has no harmful waste or biproducts.Our Hawkins County location will employ over 400 full-time people and provide excellent career opportunities in this community. We are excited to bring this important manufacturing capacity to the US market. Highland\'s focus on innovation will be supported by ongoing research and development at our facility and in partnership with world class innovators.
