I’m an accomplished Manufacturing Operations Executive with an outstanding track record managing multiple production facilities in the US and abroad simultaneously. I’m adept at vastly improving production processes, employee productivity, budget and supply chain management, capital equipment, and staff safety. To improve management of excessive budget overruns from multiple departments, I developed and instituted new budgets with each manager accountable for their areas, held weekly P&L reviews, and capitalized high-cost expenditures resulting in improved management of the organizational-wide budget. Under my leadership, reduced factory turnover by 40% in one year (due mostly to low morale and high absenteeism) by strengthening communications, introducing attendance awards, upgrading working conditions, introducing Gemba walks for all management and becoming more involved in community affairs. We achieved perfect safety record over last two years following a period of high incidents. Developed safety tours, morning safety talks, LOTO and Gemba walks while strictly enforcing the wearing of PPEs. For Tenneco Systems: Saved $1M+ in materials costs while minimizing supply chain risk (of sole supplier) by creating investment and operations strategy, For Federal-Mogul Powertrain: Improved profitability by 35% EBITDA and reduced temporary workforce from 25% to 5% by addressing low EBITDA issues, poor quality products and disengaged workforce. Established more frequent cost reviews and tighter approval limits, added operators at constraint processes to minimize overtime, and expedited freight. Reduced company scrap and defective products and implemented KANBAN systems.
